To make the experience more personal, we name each pup in alphabetical order with temporary names. However, we don't train them with that name because we fully expect you to re-name them.

Shibas are naturally very clean, so housetraining comes relatively easy. By 8 weeks, they are mostly accident free and can do an 8 hour night.

With 20+ year Shiba experience, we are happy to help with any questions or concerns that you may have. We also love to hear back from our family members with updates and PICTURES!

The first weeks of a puppy's life:

• At 1 week

• At 3-5 weeks

  • Choosing of pups​ (in order of deposits received)

  • Schedule a time for pick up or provide info for shipping

• At 5 weeks

  • Introduced to solid food​

• At 6 weeks

  • Weaned

• At 7 weeks​​

  • Vet appointment

  • Final payment due (if shipping)

• At 8 weeks

  • Ready for new home

Our sales contract is simple. Here is what you will need to agree to when purchasing a puppy from us:

"Health is guaranteed against any life-threatening disease for 1 month from the date of transfer and against any genetic defects for 1 year from the date of birth. This must be verified by a certified veterinarian. If buyer prefers to keep the dog, a $300 refund will be given. Otherwise the buyer will return the dog for a replacement pup from the next available litter."

Our pups are started on Diamond brand puppy food; however, there are many great brands out there. New puppy owners are given a baggie of starter food which can be mixed with any preferred brand. 

Shibas don't tend to overeat. it is possible to leave food out for them to graze on throughout the day.

Before a puppy can go to their new home, they must be cleared by my vet. We use Northern Lakes Vet Clinic in Shell Lake.

At 7 weeks, pups receive their first booster of distemper and are also de-wormed. They will need their next booster by 9 or 10 weeks old.
